Alright guys my life had a bit of a shake up and I think I'm going to hit the road again.
I've been trying to figure out where to go... I was going to head straight to SLC for a week as I've got a few couch options there.
Looking around at weather forecasts it doesn't look like there's many places with a ton of snow in the forecast over the next week so I wanted to ask who's been getting the most snow recently.
Recs on where to go?
i've got the ikon base so looking for areas where I can take advantage of that.

PNWs been getting nailed, not sure it’s anymore than utah but might be fun to change it up
Voyage86interesting, mt bachelor has the highest snow total in the US and local canada rn, i think second place is revelstoke
Yea, that's where I live. I wouldn't recommend spending the money to come here for a week, we've had rain/super wet snow and some freeze thaw cycles in the past week since our last dump. Plus, doesn't look like there is going to be any new snow for the next two weeks.
Our parks are pretty fun right now, but they aren't fully built yet.

Perfect if you're doing race training though.
I was going to ask as well. Vancouver locals, Whistler, and I assume Baker are pretty cooked right now. No fresh and freeze thaw or rain crust everywhere, it's not terrible but not worth flying in for if there are other options.

LCC is shaping up nicely, looking at a high pressure week but there should be some sun and some windbuff. Likely some ropedrops for new snow in the next couple days too.
send me a DM if you end up out here, I can probably show you around alta or bird

nice and sunny here in the PNW if you like that maybe mt bachelor could be a good option, looking at the opensnow powder finder there's not a ton of big snow coming up anywhere in the next 10 days other than maybe Alaska.

I'm in Fernie rn and the coverage and snow itself is amazing.
Unfortunately haven't seen the summit in a couple of days since I arrived and up high one run can be zero viz next OK. I understand why their rad lift that goes way up never spins.
Amazing terrain if you like steeps and I am over dealing with resort shit show powder days had 2 in Whistler a month ago give me this chalk over standing around. Everythings really cheap too.

CAD is pretty weak right now, USD will go pretty far.
Alyeska is the only resort outside of Japan showing any real snowfall next 10 days on open snow.
I'm gonna do Tahoe w/my wife later in March the trip I need a little more snowfall is flying into Montrose and staying in shit hotels there and Gunnison skiing CB and Telluride for free on the epic solo for 5-6 days.

Sick, glad you are enjoying it, where are you staying? Our snow is pretty sweet for not being pow right now. Yeah, vis on Whitepass is so bad so often. The peak chair opened for a total of 13 days last year, very uncommon due to serious ridgecap cloud issues. When it opens though, damn it is fun.
We are lucky, even on our powder days we never get very busy. The steep terrain here is nuts though.

Yup. I got my sunny day today absolutely excellent skied Bell to Bell and only runs off white pass as tomorrow it might be foggy up there.
How's doing the tire and rope drop in to the saddle? Only did it once from the middle chute and that was very tight felt bad side slipping it. The wider ones too rocky.

Last day should be a good one.
the one with the tires, corner pocket, I only really ski if there is fresh snow. It is a bit of a destination run, so it gets trashed. The second one, high saddle, is totally a sketchy one. The lower one, low saddle is pretty great. Also, if you go to low saddle and hike up to the sign that says lone fir, there are really good chutes there. bonus, if you ski any of thosesaddles, you end up on the dancer run, and that was my grooming last night.🤘 have fun today, and if you see me out there, give a shout. My name is Ian, if the username did not give it away, ha ha. Here is a photo of what I look like, pretty distinctive. I am just finishing my shift now, though, so I doubt I will be out too long.
Also, if you go to the far end of the Cedar high Traverse, there is an awesome hike there along the ridge. Not necessarily the best skiing right now, but a cool place to be.

Nice skied only Cedar Bowl today day went to quick and didn't want to ride White Pass in the fog. Glad I chose White Pass laps only yesterday think I remember seeing you.
Considered the hike but was a little too shot and didn't think the snow would quite be worth it.
Awesome job on the grooming miles of cord that is good at all times it seems. Can't wait to come back this might be my #1 favorite hill so steep and such long runs.
