I seem to have a new problem, one of many. After arriving home for college break in early December i couldn’t get enough of park laps. Although there was only four features, i only found myself lapping fids. Gaining back almost all my previous tricks, taking them to flat bars or kinks, even landing some new lip or unnatural tricks on rails. However, since a little after christmas I’ve lost the desire to push myself. I’ve been frequently occupying myself with left turn right turns, finding little gaps or hips along side the hill, spinning side hits into transitions and weaving in and out of the increase number of patrons with the holidays. Mostly to assert my dominance but possibly because the speed and turns are quite fun. Is it time to sell my OG edollos for dirt cheap? Post all my pivots on snowshare for ridiculous prices? Pull my big boy pants up and finally make the jump to blue Langs? Trade my Marksman for some Rossi Hero SL’s? I need some help, some consulting, i’m not ready for poc helmets, lexi poles and shin gaurds.
Honestly I hit that stage at 32 now I like boosting side features. I’ll take laps here and there through the park but I know I’ll get back into the park more when it gets switched up.
I'm in the same boat. I have been enjoying carving and cruising around. I can find the feelings I'm looking for from nice carves and sidehits. My park progression has been stagnated for few years. Everything in park is scary. I might sell my park skis.
I get ski depression all the time, i always try to do something else and then the ski interest will come back to me. Last season i started snowboarding and it has been a fun way of dealing with my ski depression, you see the mountain/hill in a different way.
I have always gotten back the interest for skiing in the park, but i have never tried to push it, as it seems like it would just make it worse.
