oldmanskiLike mentioned above, apply at a paint contractor. Im sure you can find a local company, doesnt have to be big, could be a smaller(individual) contractor that will take you under their wing and show/teach you the ropes for a few years allowing you to learn and meet other contractors leading you to start your own gig. I think this can be a good career choice as it is not super labor intensive, minimal tools required and like you mentioned, indoors most of the time.
I have a few friends back home in Idaho that did exactly this and are doing well. Good luck homie!
any thanks! gonna look into who's around and try to get in! honestly sounds pretty fun. hard work but in a chill way I guess.
JFULook up painters in your area and ask them if you can do an apprenticeship, send an email or ring them up. It would help if you have prior experience, but in all honestly painting is pretty straight forward, as long as you can cut in consistently you should have no problems getting an apprenticeship.
If you would like you can also maybe build towards painting by simply working in a paint shop. I mix paint 2/7 a week and it's pretty easy as long at your competent at reading formulas and doing simple math.
oh hell yea, not bad. I'll look into paint shops too. but yeah I dont really have much official experience but I've done some paint work with my dad and had a good time with it so thats still something
