I used to be the cool kid in the park and used to be the dude who skied urban all over the city. Now I’m the old guy who thinks my cork 5 is still cool. When antifreeze Oakley goggles and a Red Bull sticker were worth their weight in gold.
Help me not be old. What gear are you guys in your prime wearing?

I had this exact experience the other day. Rode up the lift with a group of 3 dudes who are home on school break. When they asked my age and realized I’m old enough to be their dad one goes ‘and you’re hitting rails like that?!’ It’s funny how old people in their 30s and 40s seem to teenagers. (I remember feeling the same way at that age)

For snowskating, we're mostly wearing super baggy XXL outerwear with hidden skate pads underneath.

The outerwear is whatever's online clearance goretex. Underneath I rock 187 vert skate knee and elbow pads, crash shorts, soft spine protector vest, and gloves with wrist guards built in.

No one can tell I'm wearing all the pads, I just look like I'm drippin'.

Cork5s are and will continue to be respectable. I've always preferred seeing people ski with style than huck big tricks anyways.
And as for what you're wearing, check out micro brands and thrifted shit like *cough cough Hug Your Homies*...
I always like seeing people wear regular ass clothes they fuck with on the hill

@kingsskier I almost bought your seths when I was a wee-little-lad. Pants wide, jacket small is the go to standard issue. but wear whatever.

dig out some vintage swag and rock it hard. I love meeting old heads with some knowledge and swag kits from the past. I think it’s time to start remembering the past and not let it disappear.

Just pull out the 2008 kit and you’ll get mad props. Use your age as a flex. If you look like a kid in his early twenties but don’t ski like one it might be weirder tbh.
