Replying to 2025 Reckoner 102 vs Jeffrey 100
Heyo, I'm on the hunt for a ski to compliment my Moment Deathwish 112's. The use will be more park days but would say I'm looking for a 50/50 park all mountain ski. I wouldn't say the DW are overly demanding but I find they like to charge and are the most fun when skiing hard and I'm looking for an opposite ski. Something super playful and easy to ski especially at slower speeds. I'll be coaching really young kids, so need a ski for days I'm not full sending with homies since for chargy days I'll just take out the DW.
I'm 5'7", 140lbs and skiing the pnw.
I'm looking at the Reck 102's and the Jeff 100's. I know the ON3P's are top notch for durability and the Recks have bad history but alleged new better construction, so while it is a consideration I'd rather pick the right ski over the more durable ski.
It seems like everyone who's skied either ski seems to say either one are their favourite ski (although those who've skied both seem to prefer the Jeff's). I'm leaning towards the Jeff's but have read from some that they are really want to be skied hard and while still fun at slower speeds are their best when pushed and just wondering if anybody has found them to be a demanding ski. I'm also not a super heavy person and am curious about the butterability and weight of the Jeff's. It seems like the K2's might be a bit easier to ski and are a considerable amount cheaper. Wondering if anybody here has some insight who's spent time on both skis or some insight into this. Also willing to consider a different ski.
Thanks!
