Thanks man. Get out there when you are excited to do it. Don’t feel pressure. I found I can burn myself out when I feel obliged to shoot.

Hell yea I love ski photography and action sport photography in general and it's a bummer that it's taken a bit of a backseat to the wave of short-form content on many platforms.

I get that what we do fundamentally involves movement so a video will always be the most complete/descriptive way of capturing skiing, and there's some super amazing video work out there for sure. But, a well-done photo can be a thing of beauty.

It's kinda coming back as a medium too, I've noticed a bunch of popular edits the past couple years have included photo montages. It's a great way to showcase a lot of stuff going on around the skiing (setup, shenanigans, etc.) without bogging the viewer down in too much B-roll.

I think there's a Cy article on here that has some really great tips. As always the best advice is just go shoot with whatever you have!
