Waxed my skis a week ago, skied 4 days on em. Grabbed my skis today and noticed this square on my base. It’s only on one ski and is directly under my brakes/heel piece area. I took a soft metal brush to my base and it lightened but still barely visible. Anyone seen this?
Imo looks a bit like a burnt base. Could come from too much heat or not moving the iron around. It could also be sticker residue, but the bump looks a little sus
Season Pass skis
It doesn’t seem to be base material, could possibly be wax but seems weird that it would be in such a perfect square? The sticker idea is a good one but I cleaned the bases when I got the skis with base cleaner and I’ve cleaned them once or twice since. I have probably 150 days on the skis in the last two years. I was also thinking it could be a cold spot from the binding being cold when I waxed them last but I figure if that was the case it would be on both skis.
