It’s been a while since I’ve been on this site, but I’m in need of some help. After 20 years, I’m finally in the market for some new skis. I took a hiatus for a decade or so but got back into it the last 3 years, renting demos (Whistler, Steamboat, and Big Sky), and with an upcoming trip in February to Solitude, I think it’s about time I get a new set.
The last sticks I bought were 4frnt TNKs and Line Anthems, I was a huge park rat in high school. My skiing now I’d say is 50% trees, 25% bowls and powder, 25% groomers. Still very much an aggressive skier, even did a touring day last season, but I’m looking for something that will be a great all mountain/freeride ski. I’m thinking something in the 100-110 underfoot range. I still enjoy carving switch on groomers so would love a twin tip even tho I have zero intention to go into the park ever again. Side kicker off a groomer? Yes. Table top in the park? Absolutely not. I have two kids now so life is just different.
Appreciate any suggestions!
My initial thoughts were Armada AR 106, Line Optic 104, 4frnt Devastator etc. but I could be way off?
