ParkingLotPissJust feel like Dope get held to this magical standard that other brand don't.

ParkingLotPiss- People say they don't give back to the community but they sponsor athletes and host events. what more do you want. I know they could maybe do more but so many other brands do the same if not less.

If you cant afford the newest shit thats okay, these days almost nobody actually can. but if you need good gear for cheap, go online and look for used stuff, go get a cool 1:1 kit at the thrift shop, support brands run by your homies, people that actually care about skiing, not just making money off of skiing...

...literally anything but giving money to soulless corporatized dropship companies.

ParkingLotPissI totally agree that more people should be buying used gear (especially outerwear) and supporting small businesses is great but im taking about Dope vs other large brands.

Do you think that every other brand isn't "just making money off of skiing..."
People on here have been brainwashed to think that the people at dope don't care about skiing at all. what makes you think that?

DOPE sponsors big name athletes who came from money, ski academies, family ties, etc.. people who have a ton of other sponsorships, diversified portfolio and always will. people who probably never have struggled and probably never will.

cant say this for all of the other companies you listed, but generally those companies have a history thats a bit more "For the people" they are more likely to be picking up that kid at your local thats absolutely cracked, but is on skis 3 seasons old missing half the edge and repping thrift shop gear and that one cool hoodie they saved for a minute to get. smaller companies have feet on the ground, they, at least at one point in their life have faced a hardship and know how it is, their parents couldn't afford to send them to academy, couldn't afford a season pass that one year, you get a new pair of skis when the old ones break.

that type of shit is important to me at least. the big guys just don't have a concept of what life is like for the average skier who has the skill but cant afford to take the winter off to ski, even with one sponsorship they still gotta work a job to pay the bills

ParkingLotPissYeah I would love to se DOPE sponsor newer and potently struggling athletes but id love to see that from every other brand as well.

I'm not saying dope is better then other brands just that it isn't worse.

This is what I mean, you're shitting on Dope for not taking a risk on an unknown skier but we don't talk about how any other big outerwear brand doesn't either.
