Hey NS,

New to the mountains this year is our brand Clover Mitten Co..
A small brand based out of Vermont, selling goatskin leather, Thinsulate lined, warm and waterproof mittens. The catalog is quite small at the moment and we are still waiting on our hoodies and tees, but would love if you'd take a look at the site and if not purchase, provide some constructive criticism on the site itself.

To all the folks with small operations THIS is how you advertise your product on ns. Not some "oh this product looks cool has anyone used it ignore the ig profile link on my profile and all the things that say I run this shit."

Website looks good, super nice photos and product descriptions. For the mitts maybe add pics of palm or someone wearing while holding a pole or something, to add variety instead of pretty much the same photo 3 times. (All very good mind you.) Will definitely consider these for my next mitt, thanks for putting us on and good luck!

I'll get up to the mountain this weekend and get those added.

No XL or XXL yet, but those will be added to the catalog at some point.

Misfit Mittens custom mittens will come back to life once I find a small studio to do my lasering. Maybe next season.

Would really be sick making something closer to a pipe glove/shell in addition.

Especially for spring, I got a pair of colab mits (hot laps) but they stopped selling them. Most mitts get way too hot on +35 and sunny days. These also have not the best waterproofing so looking for something better

Good start so far.
As others said, pictures of the palm and sides of the mittens. Measurements of width and length would be bonus so folks could measure their hands and choose the right size.
When you grow the inventory, a warm weather mitt would be a hot seller.
Also need to know, how well can these handle rope tow abuse?

the site looks legit. Ngl I don't love the pink but the mitts look solid overall, decent price too. Will def consider buying when I'm in need of a pair. I get that the catalog is small rn but I think it would be sick when you can offer some more options at some point down the line

I have not had the opportunity to test these on rope tows.
My immediate thought is that they may hold up for a bit, but not intended for a full season of lapping a rope.
My V2s will have a double re-enforced palm, and possibly re-enforced fingers for a rope proof design.

A warm weather mitt is also definitely on the table to be added to the catalog.
The current mittens should do great for spring riding, but hard lapping or hiking park may get your hands hot.

Thanks Evan, I am not familiar with Jackson or Luke, but I took a look and they can stick to the big pants and windbreakers.
I will stick to focusing only on mittens.

Thanks! The pink seemed to test well as it adds another element of differences between us and major brands.
Sets them apart, and also can certainly be hidden under your sleeve! We will definitely have more options and I already have a V2 being tested.

i think somebody said it earlier, but a size chart with all the dimensions would be super nice. would help with getting the right size. super cool though. P.S I actually really like the pink, I think that its really cool to use the cuff to do different colorways. I've never seen anybody do anything like that before. keep it up.

The mittens are currently produced in China by a manufacturer that specializes in winter mittens/gloves.
No corners have been cut and they have been tested quite a bit to ensure the quality is up to my standards.
This is not a drop shipping style operation and each order is hand packed by myself.

You mentioned waterproof, but the "tech features" portion of the website doesn't say how you achieve waterproofing. Do you use a membrane, or rely on the inherent resistance of goatskin + leather balm?

i found some almost identical ones on alibaba, seems like a membrane. although they called it a "waterproof baggie"

I will update my Tech Features to include the actual waterproofing.
It is a TPU membrane that is sandwiched between the Thinsulate insulation and the leather.
This layer of TPU also assists with keeping the hands warm.

homies just starting a company and trying to get interest in it and testing the waters on NS. company size is literally him lol. and this is in addition to a 40 hr job. its not a global corporation. its a guy named roland who named a mitten company after his rescue dog and sells mittens out of the trunk of his car between runs on some weekends. so i think using the forums is totally legit at this point.
