bch.skisI can only get to the mountain about once to twice a week because of school and I was wondering how I ought to go progressing my skiing at home. Whether it be balance, lifting, etc. What are some specific things I can do?

and workout your legs and core. helps to avoid injury. this is coming from someone who blew their ACL at the end of last season
hug.yourhomiesIf you're getting out 1-2x a week, maximizing the time on snow you do get helps
1) Watch videos and classic films on 1/2 speed. Take note on style and visualize how you'd do the tricks they're doing. Always visualize riding out of the trick
2) Build a backyard setup if you can or if you have a friend with a backyard,
3) Make a list of tricks you wanna get this year, and make sure you're learning them both ways. Focus on the fundamentals of jumps and rails - ie. slide both ways, landing fwd and switch, F2s, B2s, Front Swaps, Back Swaps, Switch lip on, switch tails on, LEARN EVERYTHING BOTH WAYS, then start combining them together
3) Go on youtube and watch tutorials of the tricks/skills you wanna learn. Visualize them ie. practicing pedaling on rails
4) Every day you do go out, set goals for yourself. Have at least 3 tricks in mind that you wanna get (that you learned on youtube and visualized already), and then try it over and over again until you get it. 2 to make it true. try to land each one 3x. Keep doing those tricks over and over again every day
Some days you might not be skiing at the best of your ability and that's ok. You can always get out and have fun. I think that's the most important thing is don't let yourself not have fun
bch.skisHow/Where would I get the stuff to make a cheap setup
ski_salmon69Visualize tricks constantly, eventually you’ll be having ski dreams and doing corks
hug.yourhomiesGet as many pallets as you can, grocery stores, Walmart, fb marketplace, that kind of thing. Then turf from Home Depot
