Why do some sponsored skiers have black top sheets?

pic is an example, arv 94 duhram jones was riding on last season with black top sheet. Is this because he riding what is now the 25 line?

Sometimes companies do one-off graphics if athletes do a factory visit or something. Line does stuff like like that sometimes. Doubt it's next year's ARV graphic. Armada seems to really like promoting artists for the ARV, all black kinda goes against that. Could just be a prototype too idk. I can see the eye from last year's graphic on one ski so maybe he painted em or something

athletes often paint skis once the brand no longer financially or materially support them. it makes sense, you wouldn’t advertise for ur employer if they just let you go or you voluntarily stepped away for a opportunity you felt better represented you

With heads current oblivion team Durham would actually fit right in. Though he might need to learn how to ski moguls.
