North face vishnu ad

opened tiktok, scrolled, saw what i thought was the old salomon logo or something on these skis, double checked and it’s vishnu. not saying it’s bad that they’re given publicity, just more so threw me off that north face chose those skis specifically. almost like one end of a spectrum met another, the jumpsuits and “lodge culture” vibe mixed with a pair of wets. to be fair the other pair of skis are liberty’s which would fit better (and i assume they used literally whatever was around them at the time) but it just gave me a weird sense of brand combination, obv emmett isn’t working with north face on this and it’s coincidental, but just wanted to hear people’s thoughts on it.

i dont think it was on purpose or anything. probably just what that person skied on. seems like to low effort of an ad to care what skis the actor is skiing. as for the jumpsuits, that was probably for the ad.

whole point of the ad is to show they can dress in the resort style and still ski- likely the skis belonged to the talent on the shoot or some sort of similar situation. i used to give models in cat suits joystick gear on shoots frequently, it’s fun to mix the worlds haha

Idk the girl riding the vishnus but I’ve known the girl on the Libertys my whole life, she is sponsored by Liberty and can ride park and hold her own, although I know some people on this site don’t care for her. I wouldn’t be surprised if the girl with the vishnus actually owns them and rides them, vishnus aren’t exactly rare skis to see on slc skiers, p sure that shoot was at solitude

ive done ski school ads before. they dressed me in helly hansen and oakley for the shoot but i skied my skis and boots. then i intentionally looked like i didn’t know what i was doing.

so those skis are 100% the models skis. my guess is they are shredders and a couple of bad bitches.
