2 ski quiver

I just got the prodigy 3.0. It’s 106 underfoot and I really like the directional twin shape for all mountain with variable snow and it’s plenty deep for some fresh. I’ll lyk how I like it

I’d go 110-115 underfoot.

I use a jeffrey 102 as a daily in Colorado. it holds up in deeper stuff, but by no means feels like what a “powder ski” usually does. i grew up on the east coast, and if it was my “second powder ski” i’d feel like i missed the target.

if you want something that feels like a “powder ski”, id suggest at least a 110. i ride bent 110s in the park a lot, but they are a DREAM in deeper stuff, guessing the sender 110 is similar.

near 120 is far too big for east coast. i’d love a pair for really deep days, but i’ve never had any problems with 110ish.

Sender free feels like a bent with metal. More stable but still playful and surfy. If you like the bent but want a ski that can blow through chop and go really fast sf is the one.

if you already have a firm conditions daily then send it and get the 112, or even the whitewalker 116 cuz that mf is fun as hell. You're only gonna pull it out on actual powder days so your top priority is powder flotation and chop performance over laying an edge

Bacon 108 is super fun and even a good park ski. I haven’t felt like I needed a wider ski when skiing pow on them either, but snow is very light here in AB

How is the swing weight on them? can they cork 7? i know they do everything else great but im concerned on the park side of things. also can they carve decently not important but might as well ask.

3 ski quiver for the win. Detuned park ski, sharp pow ski for freeride and a carving ski will cover all possible conditions

Sender free looks dope but I've never skied it, wouldn't let a little extra swingweight steer you away from it. Just look at what Jake Carney throws down on his SFs.

I haven't experienced west coast steep and deep, but I've gotten a couple 2-3ft east coast pow days, so take my recommendations with a grain of salt.

DPS Koala 103 seems like it fits your needs. It carves firm snow phenomenally, pretty powerful and stable, has a massive spoon which feels like a cheat code in pow, and it's pretty decent in the park mounted -3 from true center, even tho it's pretty stiff. Never hesitate to pull it out regardless of conditions, but especially love it for groomer and pow days. It's very well-rounded.

If you're talking about truly deep days, I'm not the guy to ask, but maybe look into the Koala 111?

flat0Im from the east and i'm looking for a west coast ski that maybe i can use on those rare pow days in the east, somthing like 80% all mountain 20% park. Im just gonna say rn that ik nothing about powder ski underfoot so im lost here. Ive been looking at arv 106, maybe 100? maybe 112??? idk. of course you have the 110 sender free but seems a little heavy.
Any input would be extremely helpful thanks!

ARV 106 is perfect for any "deep" days you'll get back there. you'll probably end up riding it all the time.

Wildcat 101 or deathwish 104 as your daily. 101 is going to be slightly more playful and fun in the park but the dw104 is going to rip on icy or firm days.

wildcat 108 or deathwish 112 for your powder days. Cat 108 is a great overall ski. Floats plenty well for the powder days out east. Deathwish 112 is a super variable ski conditions wise. Works really well across the board.

Prodigy 3 for sure. 106 underfoot, playful, soft in the tip and tail while being very solid underfoot. I use it as my daily driver in CO when I want a ski that will let me ski anywhere on the mountain.

I’m in a similar situation as you being from the Midwest. Been using ON3P Jeffrey 108 as my “out west” ski and love then. Great ski for any soft-ish snow, super fun in the park as well. Not ideal on super firm days, but that’s where the east coast ski comes in.
