Hi people,
going to Japan this year with 3 other people.
Been looking around a little, but someone of you maybe has a good info.
Where to rent a car, best at Sapporo Airport.
Thanks already!

DlonettiI would think some people have free advice here, but if you dont find it @maloupeterson on instagram has a guide book for japan trips for $30. not a huge fan of the influencer-y style selling a book thing but theres probably a lot of good info in there. her general posts have some info as well
flat0You don’t need a car if u learn how to ski Nordic
roddy116I wouldn't, she didn't even spell nozawaonsen correctly in the content page, you can find all this stuff on powderhounds for free. If you need any help just message me OP ive lived in Japan for two years and speak decent Japanese.
Hard_2_KillI was in Hokkaido at the beginning of the year with two friends and we rented a car, can't remember what agency (we were in asahikawa), but the best advice i can give is to try and book you car ahead of time.
We didnt give ourselves enough time to book ahead of our trip and so we werent able to reserve a car specifically big enough for all our gear(like a hiace van). When we did show up to rent they told us the only cars they had avaliable wouldn't fit our ski bags. We had to ask them to bring the car around and show them that we could fit it all (with the passenger seat all the way forward).
It all fit in the end and they rented us the car no problem and it was very affordable but for sure could've saved ourselves the headache.
VT_scratchdo you remember how much you paid for how long?
