Pleased to report that they ski exactly the same as my pivot 15 raws. Toes are identical. One thing I noticed is that the heels step-in easier vs the 1.0s --- I think the arms aren't digging into my ski boots anymore thanks to the slight bend in the arm, so the effort to "click in" feels much lower. The dildo points up at a slightly higher angle when in the boot, so they might have re-worked the geometry a bit as well.
Outside of that, there's no real reason to upgrade unless you want to spend ~$20 extra for an extra 10mm of BSL adjustment, which *might* save you a remount if you get new boots. I suspect most skiers won't care, but shop techs are prob rejoicing.
partyandBSword around the campfire is (from the warrenty email) that an updated heel will be hitting the us as soon as new years. might just hold my breath on this one.
Almost certain the 15 here is defective as the threads are a different size. They should be the same between 18 and 15; that’s my bad, just had my hands on a weird set
Are you measuring the arm or threads? I got another confirmation from two more vendors who contacted their look reps and both confirmed the bases are the same for both the 18/15. There is no separate part number for replacement bases so not sure what’s going on with yours. Think you need to contact your rep for a better answer.

Ah ya. I think thats what’s going on forsure. Between the broken heels and now this it’s forsure not confidence inspiring about the 2.0. Feel like it might have been a rushed product to be having these kinds of issues never seen on the 1.0. Hopefully the new 2.0.1 update gets the shit together.
Threads are definetly a different size on this pair. Looking through all my inventory to make sure I don’t sell a weird one to some homie

Holy Jesus that’s like 1.0 vs 2.0.
by chance are one of those a 105 brake? I was told the 2.0 105 brake is backwards compatible with 1.0 dildos and vice versa but have never had someone try and confirm it.

Ah no clue then. Was wondering why one doesn’t have the 2.0 stamp on the base. If you have a spare 1.0 around see if you can fit that dildo on either pair.

nah these baseplates are cooked. They're too small to fit OG pivot heels or any other pivot heel. Means the dildos off of them are also cooked because they won't thread on to anything else.

Ya the 18 threads look a lot more like a 1.0 but with the new 2.0 bend in the arm. Are there no adjustment rings on the smaller one either?
Ok so confirmation from look. The cracking issues is only on early production batches made before Sep 2024. They’ve already started implementing the new one into current production. So if your production date on the box is after Sep 2024 you should have the updated plastic on the heel and shouldn’t have issues with cracking. If you have a pre sep 2024 you can reach out to look for replacements

scratchskier321Crazy that Look would even make a mistake like that. It's a very simple design.
Bad batches happen in every form of production across every product line. Not the first time and won’t be the last time. Honestly better that it was found just to be a bad batch and not a problem with the design itself.
tdolloThis ski came in for a remount with the new pivots they have the same issue with the arms having a thinner thread
The different size arms seem way more concerning then the cracking even if they aren't causing problems yet. Wonder if they were testing a smaller arm to save money and it somehow got through to production on a batch. Don't know exactly how those arms are made but you don't just accidentally make a part like that the wrong size and not realize it, especially since their is a part they have to thread into.
In the spirit of complete field testing, I successfully double-ejected my Pivot 2.0s without issue this weekend (certified "hit-a-cat-track-you-didn't-see-in-low-vis-conditions" moment). Slammed at about 25mph according to my tracking app and the skis released silky smooth.

They are unfortunately not compatible. Rep told me even after they phase out of the 1, they still plan on making the original baseplates.
PartyBullshiitSupposedly only 2.0 pivots from next season on. 11/13 15/18. 11 will have a unique toe. 13 will have the current 12/14 toe. 15/18 same as current
