How to do a lay down on a box?

I was browsing and couldn't find any advice on how to properly lay down on a box (I want to try it on a wide pill but I don't think there will be much difference). I was thinking something along the lines of getting on the feature, (idk how to do this without hurting my hip lol) laying down, and coming off laying down into a drop landing where I would land upright. Any tips or advice?

do it like a baseball slide essentially. go off the takeoff, kick your legs out and try and match the slope of the box so you dont bonk ur hip hard. also body slide is the name of the trick

^Was going to say baseball slide too. Maybe start off going slow, crouch low on the box and just tip back onto the side of your butt.

definitely don’t go straight from popping to your hip. just do a regular slide but stay low, then just fall back. Depending on the way the pill is set you might have to use your momentum to come back up and land properly. don’t over complicate it

Def use your hands to break your fall onto the feature and to push yourself back up again, kinda keep your head up to see where you’re going

5050 it and then sit on your ass and then roll over onto your side and that's about it tbh

For me, I try to land on my legs and not my hip, so there’s less impact. If you spin around, it also helps

Interested in trying one too, I would think a down box would be easier for a first time trying them than a flat box?

Speed is your friend, landing feet first is good for learning but IMO doesn't count as a make
