I'm building a small (read: tiny, I live in a city) new shed in my garden, looking for some cool and smart ideas for the interior. I want to maximise its potential and make it a nice place to be in.
So, show off your space saving solutions, cool builds, musthaves, memorabilia etc!
budget basement build here but,
some simple advice would be to use vertical space to your advantage and get some wall mounted shelves. or loft/ attic? plus a couch or some kind of seating, mini fridge, tv or speakers for music and hanging out. you may be entering the realm of shed parties. christmas lights go a long ways for simple lighting for ambiance, and then a more focused light for the work area is needed. i have a clamp lamp($8) on the floor joist above aiming over the work area.
some kind of ventilation for your ptex/wax work is recommended, at minimum a window or open door and maybe a fan. if you wanna ball out, grab an old kitchen hood vent from the dump or gregslist, and mount that above your workspace. think about where your power comes from and how you can get it to where your work space is. i keep off season tires underneath the work bench and bring the bike inside in the winter. my skis are lined up on the opposite wall.
bonus highdea: someone should rig some sweet trolley system above their work bench, similar to a cable cam, to tug a https://mountainflow.com/products/ir-waxer-2-0 for a few passes back and forth from their couch or camp chair
