A few seasons ago I fell, and got skiers thumb. Not too bad it’s just a thumb but ever since it takes absolutely nothing to re sprain my thumb and it’s fucking annoying. Any advice or recommendations. Been thinking about trying to find a slim thumb brace.
I wore this mueller thumb brace for a lot of last season because I got skiers thumb, I could fit it over my glove and it worked pretty nicely to let my thumb heal and let me ski at the same time. I couldn’t really hold a pole though, but other than that it’s a pretty slim and strong brace
Try falling on ur face instead of putting your hand down that’ll prevent it lol. Make a “broken leg prevention” thread next, im sure you’ll get some great answers.
keeping the straps off of your wrists can help if you use poles. Only time I have gotten skiers thumb was from keeping my poles in my hand when I ate shit.
What helps me is muscle memory from being a running back, I always subconsciously tuck my arms like I'm being tackled and don't want to lose the football.
