Solitude vs. powder mountain

Hey y’all long time no see.
My moms interested in relocating to either powder mountain or solitude but she’s conflicted on which. I thought I’d get some input from those more educated than myself on the matter. Definitely give weight to resort value and community vibe as compared to skiing/snow quality as she’s not the most avid skier.

More information about your mother may be needed ;)
but fr is she moving to live closer to one or the other resorts or does she live in the valley area?
my snowbasin experience has been from like 10 years ago. But it was typically older people doing more dad skiing. I think this may have changed
solitude now on ikon is just like discount wasatch resort. Vibes wise it’s a good amount of first year U kids and just old people tailgating a lil bit.
but actually wym by relocating? Like just changing pass or buying a spot?

total outsider view here but, both places just seem limited without heading to town... depending on your moms "budget" you could just submit for a new build up at "Powder Haven" and you're in.
i cant imagine the places up bcc ever visibly go up for sale. probably just family pass down and selling to close friends and family.
generally, the upscale gated communities can feel a little quiet and lonely for full time residents because some owners are seasonal at best, most owners are just around a few weeks a year. so its possible any friends your mom makes will leave for half of the year.

Solitude honestly sucks. Super overcrowded now that it's the only unlimited resorted on Ikon and the layout is just whack or I can't seem to figure out where it's remotely fun to ski. Never been to pow mow but I know some guys who grew up going there and say it's the shit. Apparently it's becoming really difficult to get a pass there but seems sick both in terms of skiing quality and community aspect.

If your mom has a shit ton of money it would be worth buying a place at powmow (assuming she can get a season pass which is incredibly difficult). snowbasin is right up the road and that place is wicked fun for any kind of skier. Good mellow vibe and lots of fun skiing to do. Very unfortunate that it got put on ikon, its definitely been a worse experience since this happened but still a pretty fun time. solitude just fucking sucks in every way. BCC is infested with braindead idiots and the skiing is super mid.
