Jon mcmurry does it it MUST be cool !! He also spray painted his bases completely black so that's pretty EPIC !

my buddy took a big gouge on the first day on his new Jeffries last season. He took them to Ski Trucks (a shitty used gear warehouse in SLC) and the owner said he'd fill them for like $15. Incredibly low price for any ptex work, right?
Turns out it was too good to be true and he filled them with black ptex. Looks like absolute shit. Slightly burnt clear ptex is barely noticeable. Black ptex stands out from a mile away. idk how a ski shop owner thought that was a good idea or didn't have clear ptex on hand.

RIP. Was just talking about Jon the other day. I always watched his videos. One where he base jumped off the top of the semi driving over a bridge was unhinged

OP I would probably just use whatever color I had if I wanted to ski those skis. Good chance your ptex job will eventually come out and you have to re do it down the line anyways or if it doesn't then you should be stoked at whatever magic you channeled and not care about the color

p tex is like a dollar per stick which will last you several repairs. Just learn to do it yourself.
