Only print ones I'm aware of in the USA are Powder, Freeskier and The Ski Journal . TSJ is probably the highest quality but also pretty expensive. https://www.theskijournal.com/

Yeah dude, hardpack is pretty sick, and the guys behind it are pretty dope too. Went to the event in NYC, it was super dope. Also yes, you should def support browser, sooo sick.

Knuckle mag out of Switzerland is really dope. I think it’s a lot higher quality articles than browser and they actually proofread and use spell check. Downdays ski stories also really high quality photos and articles, but might be considered more a coffee table book than magazine

id be curious to hear what sort of print media y’all are looking to get your hands on? what do you like/dislike about what already exists?
i have enjoyed making smaller format and limited run zines in the past and am working on projects like that in addition to the work i do for print publications.

as far as what’s already out there, knuckle, browser, hardpack and super friendly society have been my favorites :)

I like ski journal but I don’t always feel like I’m the target audience, it feels very aimed at people 35 and over who only ski backcountry. Also hate that a lot of the ads are the same every issue. Browser is much more tapped into the street scene but it’s in dire need of better editing, formatting, and generally lacks polish. I think modern print mags should reflect some of the weird funny shit that you see on the internet all the time, otherwise they come off as stale and a little boring. I want funny out there interview questions, not “so where did you start skiing?” Basically I want thrasher but for skiing lol

Just got my first issue of hardpack, really enjoying it. Really love the artsy vibe and the articles are a lot more interesting than ski journal, even though some of them are only loosely about skiing

more of an annual than a mag, but Downdays have published their 5th volume of ski stories which i picked up for like 40 euros. A bit steep but got a free tshirt with it and the standard of journalism and quality of photo curation makes it well worth it, will be picking up the previous 3 issues (can't find the initial 2019 one anywhere though)
