Well I mean in hindsight it kind of went like you’d expect a 27 year old fighting a 58 year old to go. Tyson looked pretty good in the first couple rounds but got gassed and Paul didn’t have in him to knock him out

It was all the hype men on the internet that convinced the public this was some kind of even match, I got fooled too I figured Tyson could probably win but I only pay attention to boxing like once every ten years.

Only thing I will say I am glad it was just on regular Netflix and didn’t cost a fortune to stream

tyson got his final cash out. i think paul went way easy on him and could have gone off on him but didn’t out of respect. the 2 title fights before were sick though. serrano got robbed. the influencer fight at the beginning was dumb but thats why it was at the beginning. clout chasers that jake paul gave a pathway for.

The streaming problems were insane. So much buffering. You could clearly tell Paul was holding back. They both knew they’d get max payout to go the full 8. After Tyson got rattled with a triple combo I think it was in the 3rd he was never the Same. Started chewing in his gloves hard at that point.

I really don’t know what people expected. A 27 year old vs a 57 year old who hasn’t had a real fight in decades. I get the old heads of our bunch would have loved to see their legend knock out some punk ass zennial in the ring so we could all collectively feel like ‘I still got it’ but the reflexes at that age could never compete. I don’t think Paul could have KO’d Mike in early rounds though, Mike still could dodge and clearly has fighting knowledge and instinct still, but by the later rounds where Mike was exhausted I’m sure Paul could have KO’d him but why, he already had fight won at that point

I won 200$ calling it a decision by Jake paul. Somehow that was +220 odds. The writing was on the wall. Tyson is fucking 60 years old and broke. Paul admitted he didn't want to know out a legend.

Maybe it was just my shitty WiFi but the resolution sucked for me I wondered if the high demand was causing issues

It was definitely the high demand and the fact that Netflix couldn't handle it. Everyone had the same issue with the stream.

the stream quality dipping was real. i unplugged anything in my house that used wifi lol. thought i was watching on3p 7 or some shit

I had a couple moments where we had to refresh but overall the quality was good 95% of the time, definitely some frame skipping for the first couple of rounds. It got smoother when less people were watching haha

good test for the NFL tho

To everyone complaining about Serrano's loss, i think Katie earned her win. Serrano was more aggressive and controlled most of the fight, but didn't actually land a lot of good hits. Katie did really well at blocking punches and sneaking in a ton of really solid counterattacks.
Boxing is a scored sport (though i don't exactly understand the scoring) and Katie did a great job of avoiding solid hits while sneaking strong punches through every time Serrano overextended.
