TheClap. What I never understood about J skis is they promote the “no middle man” buy direct from us motto, the the prices are direct prices
so they don’t support ski shops, and still make the customer pay for over priced skis IMO
treebeardBut somehow ON3P does the same thing and NS collectively glazes?
jimbobsON3P was born on NS
While J makes good performing skis, they're none of those things.
jimbobsON3P was born on NS, makes top-tier street films, and has a phenomenal team. While J makes good performing skis, they're none of those things. I can def see why the attitide toward onep would be more forgiving than JSkis on here.
treebeardBro Newschoolers wouldn't even be a thing if it weren't for JLev and the LINE guys. I know he's a bit of a character and the marketing can be a little, umm, childish? But to say that J Skis doesn't fall under the same "coreness" as ON3P is straight-up wrong
OregonDeadJ's first graphic was literally screen shots of this forum including a comment from skiierman
jimbobsNot quite what I said. ON3P markets toward newschooler types. Street films, edgeless skis, swerve skiiers, etc. They're making products and content and spending money to gain favor with skiers like us. JLev definitely pushed the industry in our direction in the past, but are they still doing that? I think JSkis makes good products, but they seem to be more marketed toward the mainstream now, not to us. Constant "LiMiTeD eDiTiOn" skis, goofy and inoffensive graphics, and all-mountain focused designs come across as very beginner-skier focused, trying to cash in on people who don't know that every fucking ski ever made is "limited edition" by JLev's definition.

SlowbroON3P was in shops for a while at least, even in Canada.
that said anyone who pays full price CAD for ON3Ps is fried
GrandThingsAs a noted JSkis hater, I do need to give them props for this one - good graphic
