Surface durability in shambles

I've had these uppers for one season, i've ridden on them max thirty days on them probably closer to 20. The edges are bad in the same spot from rails. Is this normal after one season? and how should i go about repairing them.

This is normal and not the manufacturer’s fault. This means you are hitting rails.

A fix looks somethin’ like this! And even then it’ll never be “fixed” just better off than it was. Nothing lasts forever. But that’s the game, park skis are like skateboards. Beating them up, while taking care of them is all in good practice. See how long u can keep em going! Copping a new set after one crack is the spoiled bitch move.

Nah I get it breaking your sticks after only a season is super frustrating. The good news is you can totally keep them going, here's my hackjob for something similar.

All these surfaces last about a year, but the ppl that ride them are usually pretty fuckin hard on em.

Yeaa I beleive it, durability seems to be a) a dice roll and b) dependent on all kinds of factors like manufacturing variability and specific skiing style. For example I'm going on four seasons of basically nothing but rail skiing on my ARVs (yes including disasters lol) but others have been talking about them delamming all over the place. Then again, certain companies do seem to be worse on average.

All that to say it's no wonder we get a new "is x durable" thread every few weeks, no one wants to get stuck with a lemon ski 😁

At the end of a season I don't have any edge underfoot no matter the ski. I detune but I also just aggressively ski my skis.
