partyandBSgot bought by the ceo (maybe ex ceo) of netflix who wants to make it semi private and then has all these art instillations for it. the business model is pretty good because it lets you have the outrageous price tag of a private mountain while having the full resources of a larger public mountain. also having the exclusivity so in your face by being on the same mountain probably will drive ownership in that qualifying area
i heard that there is something in the deed saying that it can never be private though?? idk i heard someone say that here in CO hundreds of miles away so idk if thats true and if it is, i think a billionaire could pay to figure some loophole out lol.

There are always ways around the system, it just depends on how much money you have to spend. The art installations just sound like money laundering to me tbh.
I do understand how a private resort will appeal to people. Get away from the crowds, have special facilities and most importantly your ‘own’ part of the mountain. But I don’t think they should cut off certain parts of the resort when they have previously been opened to the public. If they want to make a private ski area, what stops the investor to just construct new ski lifts and runs. There may be some laws that don’t allow this due to nature preservation, but if money is not an issue, then there are ways around the laws.
