Phaenoms feel like shit

I just copped some of the new phaenom boots because I thought they were pretty sick. I got the fs 01 flex. They felt good in the store but after just one lap I had the worst shin bang of my life, a week later and I still have bruises lol. Pretty pissed that I just dropped $800 on boots just for them to feel like sharp bricks duck taped to my feet, anyone else disliking them?

It’s the boot, everyone who skis hard is going to land backseat at some point. Haven’t had shin bang since I started getting proper boot fits

In my experience it’s a bit of both. If you sit in the backseat skiing you will get shinbang over time. Even with better skiing form you will probably land backseat from time to time, having good calf muscles will help out a bit though.
Having a snug fit prevents shinbang in my experience, especially around the ancles and calfs. I have often modefied my liners with foam to create more volume around the ancles. If you feel your ancle slip in your boot, do something about it asap.

yeah I ate shit skiing pipe last year and broke my ankle so im tryna make sure my boots dont feel like shit
