Yup! the hmc150 shoots AVCHD which is a really solid codec still and easy to edit.

there are also other cameras in the hmc family that are smaller and some that are newer with 4k etc.

Sorry for the essay but hopefully this is helpful. I film primarily on an hvx so I am a bit biased but I'm also very aware of this camera's flaws. Here's my honest opinion.

The three main issues in my opinion are the weight, sensor, and p2 cards. This camera is very heavy (largely due to the tapedeck.) This camera really does not film that well in low light. If you want proper crisp HD, this aint it. This might be the cam for you want something in between SD and proper HD. P2 cards are also fairly expensive and you want at least 64GB. Eheath is right, the cards store the audio separately from the video files, and so you can't just name your clips. the audio and video gets linked automatically when you import to whatever editing software you're using.

In terms of the pros, this camera is a beast. Quite durable and less likely to shit the bed when filming in very cold temps. I've seen it where the SD card footage of a newer panasonic got corrupted while the hvx footage turned out fine. One time i slipped and dropped the camera on a sheet of ice, cam itself was fine although i did fuck the LCD screen lol. Quite easy to use and pass around as long as people know the basics. I personally really like the zoom, definitely prefer it to the zoom on newer panasonics ive filmed with. I really like the way the camera captures colours and the scene files are nice.

If you just film on auto the footage doesn't look good, it took me a bit of time to figure out the right settings and get the footage to look how I want it to.

That listing looks solid. The low hours are nice. I'm assuming the 200AP is similar to the 200A which has an upgraded sensor compared to the 200P.

It's worth considering alternatives. hpx170 is lighter with no tapedeck and has a better sensor, but still has p2 cards. the hmc150 uses SD cards. They basically have all the pros of the hvx with less of the cons. In hindsight I kinda wish I bought an hmc instead, but last time i checked hvx200p's are way cheaper and personally I can live with the cons of the camera.

Basically ask yourself this:
Am I set on filming on a pansonic? its definitely a common choice these days but there's a reason so many skate videos are filmed on them
If so, am I willing to spend (potentially) more money to avoid the heavy weight and bad sensor (buy an hpx), and also avoid p2 cards (buy an hmc) ?
If you don't mind those cons, then buy an hvx.

For research purposes:
Pretty sure DIGIT film on an hvx. CHEF's recent grouse videos are too. Zootspace and jetskis videos are filmed on hpx. Paakku films on hmc.
