I’m cheap, lazy and have access to a haas vf5ss and all the aluminium and plastic I want.
the ski holders are 1” umhw. A voile strap goes through the bottom 1/4” slot. The top loops are to strap down my base camp duffel.
the linq fasteners are from 1” aluminum. The lever is threaded and lock into position with a jam nut. The latch itself is counterbored and also locked down with a jam nut.
it’s a 0.02” interference fit with the linq bracket itself. So it should be pretty tight in tension. I thought of adding a ball detent so the lever doesn’t spin around, but I’m too lazy and cheap to have more parts
I want the skis to be secure over whumpfs and what not, but not strapped down so rigidly that my skis will break in a roll over. I have the cnc so I’d prefer the holders breaking before my skis.
idk am I missing something obvious?
