Replying to Fernie versus Revelstoke versus other BC/AB towns

Probably gonna head up to be super poor and live in my truck and try to ski as much as possible, both resort and backcountry, and since my poverty lifestyle of a baked bean diet doesn’t entice a lot of my friends, looks like I’ll be trooping it mostly alone. Between the BC resorts (excluding whistler area), what’s got the best balance of skiing to also potentially being able to find chillers to ski with?
