How do I be more "flowy"

This might be a thing that just comes with time but when I ski it looks and feels stiff. My spins are kinda choppy and when I hop on rails I flail my arms. Is there any more to make stuff look better or is it just confidence and time. Any tip or people I should watch

watch antti. he stays in a super low crouch which gives him lots of absorption and balance and is always looking 1 feature ahead of what he's hitting. i think a lot of people ski "stiff" because they have their eyes down and bend at their back instead of their knees/hips

Get your reps up. The more you ride park and do certain tricks the more relaxes you'll be. When its all muscle memory it gets steezier.

Music can help a bunch. Hip hop is always a nice vibe both to hype you up and give you some flow.

I think reps and trying to stay more relaxed is a good start. Just takes time but if you're already shredding park you're in a good spot!

Also if you can do a backyard setup in the summer that does wonders for rail game. I've seen people come back after a summer hitting their yard features, night and day from the season before. I know not everyone has the space or parents that are down, but if you can not a bad idea for next summer.

get clipped up. look at it. makes small incremental changes for it to look more how you visioned, get clipped up up again and repeat until you win x games or whatever you think os a satisfying benchmark.

Take my advice with a small grain of salt since I’m coming from a climbing perspective (I’m a much better climber than skier lol). But the difference I see is who fundamentally understands their own body and what their body needs to do in order to “flow”. This is easier said than done, but finding someone much better who moves effortlessly and watching what they do with their body will help. Watch closely what they do with all parts: do they shift hips, bend knees more, etc. Then take one aspect you notice and try to apply it to yourself. Start with one aspect and nail it down (arm movement, legs, or something else). Once that becomes 2nd nature worry about another aspect.


It’s also easier to focus on these things during warmups or less committing movements.

Literally just reminding yourself to keep your knees loose and your hands at your sides as you're riding up to the trick can help a lot. Practice this steeze on a tube or low box, do it over and over until it's habit

if you’re not using full tilts, it will help with that because they have more forward lean than other boots which puts you in a more athletic stance, which is how you look more flowy.

More time = more comfort = more style
but also remember to think about your breathing, hard to do anything smoothly with two huge inflated airbags in your chest limiting your movement, breathe out before tricks to loosen up.
