deacgiro ledge or any helmet like that
steve0Giro Ledge.
Or sneaky pro tip… the giro quarter is the same design in a slightly lower profile required to pass the bike standard instead of the snow standard, and they’re on insane sale:

FlackerJust got the Oakley MOD w MIPS for a crazy deal. A little goofy looking but by far the most comfortable helmet I have ever worn.
ASAPCarterI think I’m finally giving in. I’ve been hella anti about wearing a helmet for the past several years now and I think I’m finally going to give it a try again after wearing nothing but an arsenic beanie for ages to show how core I am. With that being said, what helmets are the cool kids wearing these days? Open to all recs, just haven’t bought one since I was maybe 14
KilaTsunamiNever sacrifice style for comfort/function
maaatttIf you got a large ass dome, giro Jackson is very friendly to us big heads
SeaUrchin123Smith Maze user here, bummed they discontinued it so I'll need to grab another soon. Love how light it is and still has a secure fit with the earpads removed, thanks to the elastic part that contacts the back of your head (Giro Ledge has this too).
The Method is the Maze's replacement and it looks like a crossbreed between the Maze and Code lol. They also released the Rodeo which gives off a more "skate helmet" look (POC Fornix ripoff?).
The Ledge is marginally thicker and heavier, but nothing to worry about. It also has a super firm shell whereas the Maze shows dents pretty easily. Can't go wrong with either (get Mips if you can), but go try some on with your goggles and balaclava/beanie.

Dlonettithis is really good to know lol. guess only thing would be is it isn’t mips
BenchhitterTo be real with you as a skater in a past life a pro-tec probably has the same amount of actual concussion protection as falling on the brim of a ballcap
mips or Die
OP idk if it’s new I don’t buy softgoods but my shop just got in a bunch of of Smith Rodeos which look to be cheaper giro ledge type things with smith logo if you don’t want to have the same helmet as the entire park for the 3rd year in a row (it’s basically the same helmet) (I also ride a giro ledge) (you’re probably gonna get a giro ledge)
IntoTheVoidNot OP but I’ve been interested in the Smith helmets since I got a pro deal for it. Is this the first year of the rodeo? I’m considering getting it but for me it’s between the method and the rodeo (mips on both)
BenchhitterI think it’s new for 24/25 I’ve never seen it before
resemblance is pretty strong to the ledge. Kinda has the rounder shape of the method but the overall style of the ledge . More park oriented style for sure. Seems like a good deal.
