Let’s get the hype rolling! New ski designs from Volkl and line so far that I’ve seen. Yes as discussed in the old 24/25 thread there is a brand new boot entering the market from armada! It’s unlike anything else that’s out there. Exciting times in the industry for sure!
tdolloBlanks still feel like Blanks but have a noticeably stiffer tail so they feel a bit more chargy. More info coming in the next couple of weeks, marketing will start pushing the new products and should see some new 2026 boots and 2026 QSTs in certain stores come end of January
ZenyattaKick@Kbob94 didn’t you say no changes this year?

From everything I know it’s no new changes, only new ski or changes that I’m aware of for next season is the is the new TI arv in the zero collection, since the big hype being the boot for the winter there wasn’t much as far as the plans go for tweaking the skis.
Also just got my pair of AR one boots today. So I’ll be riding that the rest of the season, so if yall have any questions or anything hit me up on here or my IG

Edollo is changed to 91 waist and arw106 is gone and changed to a zero arv106ti version.
Most of the Freestyle skis are unchanged.

You are totaly right but theres only one edollo next year and its the narrower one.
would be sick if theres one og aldente 98 (like the First one that where lighter softer with the ar50 sidewalls)
and a narrower edollo91
FruitBootProI feel like an Edollo adjustment should be a Zero ski not a replacement of the classic
Looks like I was wrong on Boa and pin toes on this bad boy. Really interested in where Atomic positions this relative to the Redster CS. I’m no marketing guru, but I’m guessing that the American market was having some trouble with the CS pulling double duty as “cheater race” and “freeride weapon” so they’ll keep the CS in circulation but allow it to really steer into its racing heritage in marketing AND get the benefit of not having to mod a boot to get it “freeride-y” (also keeping those parts in stock was clearly kind of a nightmare). Less of a problem in Europe (racing = performance anywhere) but for the US market especially they wiped on the racing red for the US-friendly “butter” colorway, added replaceable GW soles, widened and barely lengthened the forefoot but not the heel, and are going to get them on the feet of some TGR/MSP athletes.
In other words: @onenerdykid built his own Redster Freeride, put it on Instagram, and then made a whole new boot out of it.
I could be missing some other major changes (those lower buckles look REALLY flat so I wonder if there’s something there). If I’m right, this is awesome: the Redster CS is by all accounts a f**king great boot, and this’ll get something like it on more feet. Already a Redster lover? Save $150 and you might be able to wear this out the box. Coming out of an RX and want its closest successor? Probably this tbh. I’m booted up for the next 5 years but I love this move regardless.

I'll did expect this boot to be a little different ill admit but it is interesting I guess to have this and the Cortex for next season. The cortex was designed to really be a modern freeride take on boots like the Redster CS or the DRS so I was thinking this new boot and the Cortex would be a little closer. But we did a few things the same so I do think its good to have pretty opposite designs for the same boot as well as BOA and buckle options. Lack of tech toe is the biggest surprise and I did expect a full width boot board.
This may be stupid, but why/how are the SF100 and BO98 going to coexist?
I think it's safe to assume the SF100 with be more symmetrical and have more rocker (like the SF110) than the BO98, since the black ops isnt all that symmetrical and has fairly low tail rocker.
But are they really going to be that different? All assuming the SF100 is a scaled down 110.
BallClapperNew new bop98. Wasn't told what is different but looking like rocker starts earlier. Can peep the sf100 in the back. 🫦 Graphic reminds me of these:
And I hate it. Like first the dixie cup pros, now this. Come on. (Dixies are gas though, this is lame.)

Guessing the BlackOps 98 will have less rocker but be more of a proper twin-tip, and the Sender Free 100 will have some metal, but be me more playful than the Sender Soul 102
I agree, having both is silly. Though the 98 is more of an all mountain bruiser than a true park ski. Could see the 100 filling the same space as something like the nightstick 104. A wider park ski with more beans for higher octane fr activities. I love my 110 in the park so I'm sure the 100 will be even better.

Was skiing my 110s in the park today before and after some summit laps but it was more firm down low than it should have been.
Absolutely frothing for the 100. Ima buy some and put gold pivots on. Also sizing is going to be the same as 110. None of that 10cm difference bs of the 98.

Exactly, can go up against things like the Unleashed 98.
BallClapperDon't think that will be comparable either. better comparison is to the nightstick 104.
I would not be surprised if people looking at either wouldn’t cross-shop the other (Unleashed 98 and Sender Free 100)…
the nightstick is seemingly a wide park/ all mountain twin, as the metal is underneath the core in an effort to provide impact protection against rails. The Unleashed uses it as a damping aid
Unleashed 98 is more like a kin, or mirus cor than something like the sf line. Though you are right, someone will look at these cuz they have metal and a twin. Kinda where similarities end tbh.

Having skied Unleashed 98/108 both in 186cm, mounted forward of rec, I can say damn do they carve well, but at ~225lbs they dont hold a candle to BO98 or SF110 when it comes to skiing fast in variable snow. They obviously carve way better though.
98 was a pretty good park ski, but I didnt like it for anything out of the park except skiing groomers.
I felt like the flex pattern was off and its a pretty light ski.
I think the U98/108 is more like a 183cm Season Nexus (but stiffer) than a Season Kin, but I was skiing the 186s and I know the 180s is significantly softer.
It's funny how both the Unleashed line and Sender line are FWT skis, but I have absolutely no clue how anyone could ski an Unleashed 108/114 through those lines in shitty snow. My cope is that they're probably not as heavy as I am, but I probably just suck at skiing.

I did try the u108 in my ski search. Offered up a mind blowing carving experience but was too damn hooky for my liking when sliding around and getting goofy. Sf has way more power and can carve nice too but go sideways like a dream. U108 I found terminal velocity/ max speed at ~50 in some light chop where sf110 keeps going.

Suspension on dynastar and rossi skis is incredible. Just munch through anything. Old enforcer 110 free was an animal. Bummer it got axed. Though there is a new ski coming. Don't know anything other than topsheet, base, and it's a stand alone model. Hoping it's something like the patron.
bo98 + SF100 baffles me a bit too, but hey - what a time to be alive eh, so many cool skis for us that likes progressively mounted skis with some beef. The new. SF110 graphic is really nice - loud but nice. Too bad the sidewalls are not black for a cleaner look - they are a bit busy as is. Oh well.

You mean SF100 graphic? SF110 looks unchanged, again haha I’ve seen two year graphic runs, but this might be the first time I’ve seen a three-year run

yeah, wops - muscle memory there. The shops must be thrilled. I am kinda too - a base graphic that remains the same + limited release versions with special graphics. Keeping the shops and us niche enthusiasts happy.

Gotta make sure the skis pop since we're also living in the influencer era (sadly). I'll take the BO98 panthers over these fruity pebble graphics any day of the week.

The play on northern lights is kinda safe for sure, but selling skis is a numbers game. And pink is nice, purple too - so I am happy with the SF100 graphic. I can't wait to see if there are any other limited release versions to be released, of either SF. Parker seems to be riding one in his segment this year, matching the hunter pivots.
The panthers were decidedly awesome though - that graphic really grew on me. The new, limited release one (mention up thread) prob looks better in person - on screen it is not quite my cup of tea. It is loud though - I'll give it that. Dammit, the more I look at it and envision it on snow the more it grows on me...
His part was so fucking good oh my god I love Parker white. Skis are dope too.

I will say...I love that the all brands are starting to find their own looks again. Lots of skis with no / hyper-minimal graphics these past few years that things all started to blend together. This has been one of the better "gear hype threads" in recent memory and brands are bringing some much needed graphic energy.
Exciting year on boots too. New brands, new tech, not the same thing everywhere. We all knew it would be a big year for BOA so it's really cool to see how the different brands are putting their own look into everything with a shared technology.
