Don_KedicDumb question but does boa have any effect on the longevity of a liner?

Don_Kedic@tompietrowski another dumb question, is there a reason why the bottom buckle on the B&E method is facing the opposite way compared to the other buckles? Looks like the other method boots have all the buckles facing the same way

Denseclouds@tomPietrowski as someone with a LV foot and skinny lower ankle/calves, in the market for a new boot - How does the fit in the new cortex vary from something like say the hawx ultra 130 S? I've had my eyes on a pair of those as they felt great, but I'm very interested in this new k2 boot. Also heard some durability issues with the plastics in K2 boots in the past, is this something that's been addressed for the cortex? Thanks again, I'm sure you're stoked for the public to be able to see these soon!
tomPietrowskiHey so we actually based the fit of this boot a lot on the slightly narrower boots like the atomic Redster cs and Dalbello drs. The heel is going to be slightly tighter than something like the ultra but we built this boot in the same way as most race inspired boots so it has a very thick shell wall which means it can be ground to perfectly fit the heel.
And yes our buckle boots did certainly have a few issues over the years. We have been working to address these concearns but cortex represents a complete shift in how we are producing boot shells and also the materials we are using. I will not say we will never have an issue but we feel really confident moving forward that we have a produced a boot to rival any other boot out in the market.
OhJayGlad to hear Tom, those pics and stories of Recon boots blowing up along the spine was kind of scary to see tbh.
jimbobsI'm super tempted to grab some 194 Blanks on closeout this summer before they're discontinued. Any word on what's changing? Should I wait a season for the new version's 192 to get cheap?
