Let’s get the hype rolling! New ski designs from Volkl and line so far that I’ve seen. Yes as discussed in the old 24/25 thread there is a brand new boot entering the market from armada! It’s unlike anything else that’s out there. Exciting times in the industry for sure!
idk if anyone else noticed this but it looks like the top cuff has a pull tab where it disconnects for the boot to fully open up. interested how that holds up/ ease of use with cold hands/mitts. I am in fact seeing this after already posting it

Yeah the top guide is releasable which allows for the cuff to open wide enough to still have them be easy to get on.
Early versions had both guides be releasable but this made cable management even worse than a full tilt :)
If we did not have the top releasable guide the cable would have to be really long to allow the cuff to open and this would result in an even bigger dial and a much slower process to do the boot up.
We have had no issues yet with the guide getting loose and no issues at all with it releasing when not intended. I only have about 50 days on my set so far which is far from a long term test but from our lab testing and boa’s internal testing we don’t expect any issues.
As for releasing it it’s really easy. You will pop the dial first which releases the cable tension and then we added a small pull tab so I don’t expect any one will have any issues using it.

Actually this doesn't look like the Declivity. While ago he posted a story where he was on the Declivitys. Maybe those are something new?
Nah that looks like the Declivity X 115 100%. Tail graphics match up and tip graphics on one ski, he must just have some stickers or something on the other

Had a thought about ski boot design today. I find I'm pushing my liner down with my ski poles to get it tighter around my instep because I have skinny lower leg. Will there ever be a function on the boot that can pull the liner down the same way and keep it there?

Does your liner lace up? I have and have had Técnica and Salomon boots that did.
You are going to like boa cuff a lot! The improved and more consistent wrap you will get should really help with what you need.

Cuff wraps the leg in a very similar manner and the improved wrap not only fits better but also performs much better too as it really allows for the best power transfer from leg to boot.

I'm looking forward to trying on the lower volume boa boot you guys have upcoming for my chicken leg having ass. I just think the "wrap the foot" marketing term is amusing.
Haha marketing is always tough but in this case I think it sums it up pretty well. If you have tried on a boa boot the wrap is the first thing you notice for sure.

If your liner has a velcro-adjustable tongue, Atomic makes the V3 Tongue System - tongues available in three different thicknesses (especially over the instep) to help create a better fit. Just remove your stock tongue and pick up the Low Volume/Thick fit.
