Let’s get the hype rolling! New ski designs from Volkl and line so far that I’ve seen. Yes as discussed in the old 24/25 thread there is a brand new boot entering the market from armada! It’s unlike anything else that’s out there. Exciting times in the industry for sure!
onenerdykidWhen you jump up to TR, you are now entering the world of legit race boots. Because of that, we don't offer ShockStopper boot boards for them nor GripWalk soles. The best you could do is get a TR F4, get our Dual Component lifters (which require the boot to be routered back to ISO 5355 dimensions, also not a cheap thing) and a ShockStopper liner spoiler. That will at least give you a crazily supportive boot with extra traction, some shock absorption, just not the same level (nor price) as a Remedy. It's a relatively annoying (for you) modification because you'll need to search out a race shop that does routering (this is not a normal thing for the vast majority of ski shops).
That makes sense. Honestly, dual component lifters would be plenty good. How much of a jerry rig would it be to retrofit a shockstopper boot board to fit in a TR boot?

Henrik has talked before about how he wants to ride narrower skis because of his knee problems. He was on 86s and Bdogs for a while but it seemed like he didn’t like them that much.
It does seem like something that he wanted, but I don’t know for sure.
also I have a pair and am writing a review. They’re good fun
Can confirm edollo 91 was henriks idea and armada built the ski he wants . If he wanted a 106 dollo we probably gets it too haha 😂 (would be sick but doesnt happen )

talked to dani b yesterday and he and a lot of team riders want the old al dente s back because they are so fun and more playful then the newer edollo skis

I mean the descendant/method boot is freakin ginormous. So much volume. I don't understand how so many people ride ft's/k2s still. I feel like you really can't get foot wrap/heel lock compared to a properly fitted 4 buckle 2 piece.
9tryIts a shadow 110, I wouldn't be surprised if he is done with k2.
Splitting hairs but its prob an XT3 Free (Shadow doesn't have a big logo on it). Also surprised he wouldn't use an Armada/Atomic/Salomon (Amer brand) boot first... Lange rules though.
Its 100% not the new dollo91 because in the new edit u see more of the base and the topsheet is black sprayed.and i already have the new 91 so i know what it will look like…
I think its more of a old arv that he still use . And if its a armada proto Ski normaly they are all white then.

Why does having narrower skis help with knee problems? I have had past knee injuries so maybe this is something I’ll look into if it’s helpful to have a narrower ski.

Theoretically a wider ski creates more leverage to transmit lateral force into the knee when on edge. This assumes the skiing and edge angles are not altered when riding a wider ski but it sort of makes sense.
We need more deep diving here.. Henrik been on Full Tilts k2 as long as we've known. To see him on a lange would be huge.. Especially given armadas new boot. Where my industry insiders at??
Wondering if anyone has confirmed the 26 Super Blackops 98 is unchanged vs the previous years? Figured it was the same but remember hearing someone thought they changed/increased rocker on it. See they are now shipping so curious if anyone has comparisons on it yet.

In the next couple seasons you’re gonna be seeing a bunch of shakeups and changes in the ski industry with athletes, sponsors etc

I feel like he's most likely just riding boots that he got fitted..maybe new foot issues/fitment with descendant. Bdog also gotta be in on the whole situation as it's a colab boot @b-dog@E-DOLLO
There’s a lot of OG athletes contracts that coming to a close in the next couple seasons, whether or not those get renewed and the brands take care of them or they move onto different people will be very interesting to watch I can say that much
