Let’s get the hype rolling! New ski designs from Volkl and line so far that I’ve seen. Yes as discussed in the old 24/25 thread there is a brand new boot entering the market from armada! It’s unlike anything else that’s out there. Exciting times in the industry for sure!
SendyMcSendyfaceThats sick, I really like the CAST concept, and think its the most practical option for folks who want to tour and shred. Maybe some folks think this is stepping on CAST's toes, but if its cheaper (more accessible), I think its a good idea.
competition is always good. im excited for more advancements in this space.
.nastyYou hit the nail on the head. Skis way better than a bent 100, which isn't a hard thing to achieve haha
The QST 100 will be the return of the normal QST lineup in our shop, we've never carried any QST since the departure of the Rocker2's, but welcome the new 100. It's a real fun ski, has a similar characteristic to the new Blank but definitely a bit softer.
Been skiing the shit out of the Blank, man that ski is friggin good. Might overtake my sender free 110's in the quiver for the time being...
At Whistler right now and one of the shops in the village had the new 184cm Sender Free 100 in stock. Was able to compare against the 182cm Blackops 98 and the 191cm Marcus Goguen graphic SF 110 in the shop.
Flexed a HAIR softer on the extreme tip/tail vs the SF 110 but then realized they were the 191cm SF 110 which would be stiffer than the 184cm of course.
So should be identical to the 184cm SF 110 longitudinal flex wise(might be a bit less torsionally stiff without the metal) which I was pleased about. Confirmed that the 182cm Blackops 98 were a touch softer on the extreme tip/tail vs the 184cm SF 100 and that the tip/tail slope were SF 110 like. So less bulldozing than the BO 98 tip and looser in the tail when flat.
The store didn’t have a scale as I was curious if this was a “heavier” set but felt similar to the BO 98.
Bet if SkiEssentials moved the mount back from Rec on the SF 100, they would seem more substantial, stable and similar to the MFree 100.

Lol thats the shop I work at, glad you're stoked on what we have in!

That’s hilarious!
Talked to a female salesperson who mentioned she has a pair of Unleashed skis after I mentioned I have the new Enforcer 104. Was telling her I was hoping to get on my Blackops 118 this Friday/Saturday with the new snow coming.
Small World!
Got a great day skiing on the new Cortex 130 boot, hats off to K2 on that one. Coming from my Redster CS, it's got a very similar fit and the weight/dampening is about the same. Took me a bit to figure out where to keep the two BOA dials in a spot where I didn't have to fiddle with them much getting off the lift but ended up being very simple.
Only thing I'd like to see is the 130 get the same tech toe treatment as the 140.
If you are into skis that are damp and probably really versatile then the new Heritage Labs AM110 should tick a lot of boxes. It is a new version of their already excellent FR110s and R110s, just with a slightly softer/lighter layup with added camber (instead of full rocker like the other two). Heritage Labs prob does not get mentioned a lot on here - but Marshal's skis are truly excellent - that is, if you like heavy skis made to shred under strong skiers. source: https://heritagelabskis.com/products/am110
i suspect the differences has less to do with mount point and more to do with construction. I just received a pair of SF110s and MF112s, at the latter weigh 100gr more a ski and hand flexes a bit stiffer throughout. Their shapes are very similar, if not identical. I am betting that the strategy going forward will be that the Dynastars are positioned to be slightly beefier, the Rossis to be looser / easier to ski versions of very similar skis shape wise. It will be interesting to see if Dynastar adds a wider offering.
I have yet to ski them back to back - I will report back come this weekend :)

Crazy that's the "added camber" version lol. That said - I peeped the website and Heritage looks to be using top of the line materials, they look bomber.
I'd like to try 'em. Any clue of the brand being in CO?

My dealer Corbetts received some sets g the MF 112 and were all identical to the SF 110 in weight and flex. Soothski compares the 2 and identical weights and flex too.
Bet it will be like the Blackops line that some skis will be heavier and stiffer so will take my scale in and weigh their SF 100 stock to see if there is much variation. My pair of BO 98 were the heaviest of 20 pairs they had at just under 2100gr each. Hoping the SF 100 is over that.
Enforcer 104 the playful charger standard around 100mm I think. Mine rip! Over 2300gr in the 185cm and very damp.

Dealer I inquired about them at had a few sets all at 2100gr each so wondering if they vary quite a bit. Have weighed about 6 pairs of Blackops 118 I got for friends or myself and they ranged from under 2400gr to 2560gr each so hoping I can find some “heavy” SF 100.

stoked you liked them! And we have more tech insert versions coming :)
Pivot 11 is an interesting choice by look Imo. The new heel design is what allows the DIN to be lower but it'll probably be the most expensive 11 DIN option on the market by far. Might be a tricky sell

Wait hold up how is there not more discussion about these pictures, did I miss it somewhere?
pivot 11 is interesting as said. I don't see a 13 tho, where are you seeing that, juviticus?
is that a new toe piece I don't recognize?
also how funny would it be if they finally brought back white pivots but only in the 11 DIN model? Lmao
BallClapperWhat armada’s are these? Don’t recognize, look sick. Found looking for pivots on marketplace. (Has armada branding, hard to see in this photo.)
It’s a Ltd version ski they did with a shop. I can’t remember if they one in the 106 or the ww116 without seeing the whole ski

It could be that they are the same - I dunno. I went into it thinking that the marketing department worked their "magic" in turning two identical skis with different graphics into two different skis. Having them here I am kinda inclined to think that the Artist's take - aka that the Dynastar higher ups stating that the construction is different - is the more accurate. And I will not take a shop rat's and Sooth's take over mine regardless - I will try them tomorrow and time will tell.
As mentioned above, we are in the golden age of progressively mounted skis nowadays - so damned many dialed skis to choose from :)
And yeah, the Heritage Labs skis rip. They are an incredible value for simply superb skis - I have a hard time recommending them and Marshal enough. The skis might not be progressive enough for some skiers on this forum - they are def not a mount at center -2 type ski - more strong skis for accomplished skiers who like skis in the -6 to -12 mounting range.
