i agree with cutting the nonsensical spending, but the way it was done was very slapdash. They should've taken more time to assess where bureaucracy was stifling development and costing taxpayer money. Cutting USAID without understanding the consequences, both to the lives of people who benefit from vaccinations, healthcare, etc. but also the soft power that the US gains from countries who gain stability from the help they receive, and are therefore more likely to be understanding of America's interests
NGL I low key love this. I’m long term hella bullish on crypto but it’s become too boring lately. even if I have a lot of money invested to lose, I kinda love watching markets melt down. Current way of things is F’d, if we see a broad crash and everyone loses their money, real estate drops/crashes, then rates lower until issue fixes itself and eventually people will be able to afford homes again. Too many people make a living off of real estate and investing and make more $$ than someone working their ass of 60-70 hours/week. So if we reach a new point where labor becomes more valuable, I’m all for it. And it’ll wreck the boomers but they only had their entire life to do the same but chose the easy road. Plus Reducing global trade will be greatly beneficial to climate change

Anyone who isn't retiring in the next decade shouldn't even bat an eye to this. Tank it all. I maxed my contributions during covid and and looking forward to another fire sale. Only concern is this will likely have lasting impacts to the economy so the horizon needs to be hella long term.

honestly i doubt that. Blackstone and others (including foreign investors) will buy up the properties for pennies on the dollar while the rest of us plebs are broke. Then rent them back out to you for more money. We are literally selling our countries housing and farmland to China as we speak.
Labor becoming more valuable makes no sense in a recession. Company layoffs and reduction in government workforces will only hurt the economy. Flooding the market with job seekers will only serve to devalue the worker. I guess I fail to see how that will increase the value of labor

Trump has two years until midterms... nowhere near enough time for tariffs to run their economical route. When everything gets more expensive the democrats will get house majority and they should be able to repeal the tariffs to a large degree.

It’s not exactly that simple. You might think the media is stupider than you but you’re missing the part where the border patrol lets the person into the country while their asylum claim is processed. We all are very well aware that crossing into this country is illegal in its own right but accidentally treating a migrant worker like a bank robber is a very stupid policy.
