Does Ukraine actually 'beat' russia? That would be nice but highly unlikely.
Does Ukraine lose to Russia. If so at what cost. Does Nato get involved or does the US supply troops? All of our "aid" to Ukraine just turns into absolutely nothing. Because how the fuck are they going to pay us back.
Getting involved in this BS conflict that's 1500 miles away will have consequences and I don't see it turning out favorable for the USA. That's my very controversial (IDK HOW) point. It's a waste of money, resources and most importantly human life.

Things that are untenable to Ukraine and frankly NATO.
That includes giving up ALL the land that was taken, land Russia has a presence on but no control over, no NATO membership ever, oh, and the kicker, withdrawal of NATO troops from eastern NATO members.

Pre-2014 Crimea borders being reestablished, withdrawal of all Russian military forces, prosecution of war crimes, and a guarantee against future aggression.
Pretty easy to see why that won't ever happen.
Besides, who the fuck would trust Russia not to invade neighbors anymore? Look at Georgia. Look at Ukraine. Look at Finland in the 1940s. Russia has a history of trying to take land that it thinks historically belongs to them.
It'd be like Mexico saying Texas is rightfully theirs and invading.
I mean, is it a waste of money and military resources if they would otherwise expire?
Call me crazy but maybe giving those resources to a country being invaded by an aggressor would be better than letting it expire and be destroyed.
