bandagedbrandoI've stored a pvc in my backyard for the last four years and I've never had any problems. I'm in BC so it doesn't typically get quite as cold as Ontario but I doubt you'll have problems with cracking
asparagusAlso in ottawa, green/blue ones are fine i’ve broken some white ones but only being rough with them, they hold up decently well. Definitely throw a 2x4 in there if you can.
rockstar2279also if you can drill pilot holes and bevel them a bit when you screw the wood in that can help you prevent cracks around the screw holes
quintcorkYo I recently learned that pvc pipes can crack and chip in cold weather so I was wondering if you guys knew of any methods for avoiding this. I recently bought a 10 foot pvc pipe to sesh in the winter and considering I'm in ottawa where it gets -10F I dont want that happening.
lil.BoyeHad some brown really hard ones crack on me. It wasn’t so much that cracked so i filled as much as i could with expanding foam. Go carefully though as it can also crack the tube from the inside when expanding. But my tube did hold up quite well.
