skiP.E.I.A few years ago Maximilian smith did a patreon or something like it, I think the idea was to have a subscription based edit series.
Anyway, people on here of course lost their shit in outrage about how it was a terrible idea and how could he have the audacity to ask for money, etc.

lil.BoyeEileen gu onlyfans would be cool.
Dlonettii thought the best way this has been done was when forre released their movie early on youtube for like 5 bucks or whatever and then it came out for free later
Christian_BaleFeel like the best way is to release physical content like DVDs, posters, merch etc. Patreon is dope, but has its pros and cons. From a subscribers perspective it's nice to get regular content but if there's not enough or it's not regular enough then people are gonna cancel their subscriptions. So there's more pressure to keep the content flowing which can be stressful and IMO is not conducive to putting out quality stuff. Better to release stuff when it's ready and worth dropping rather than drop something on a strict schedule .
For DVDs, even if u assume enough people are gonna buy, you basically need to have the dvds finished and ideally shipped out before the video releases online. So if your video is dropping online for free in november you'd need to be done the editing way in advance of that.
VT_scratchidk who has dvd players anymore though
albinoboyBrett Rheeder developed a pretty cool athlete driven site for pros to share experience, teach classes, or host training sessions. Already seems somewhat promising in the mtb scene. Could definitely be viable in the ski scene. Imagine being able to book a coaching session with a pro for a day.
the sites called bookyrslf
