Replying to Will skiing become 50% more expensive

Two idiots running for office. But one idiot is heavily considering raising the tariffs on all goods coming into the USA.
Trump raised tariffs the last time he was in office by around 10%. So if a 50$ good came in, someone had to pay $5 to the government. Either the company or the customer has to pay for this. Knowing the ski industry, were gonna pay it.

Now he's promised a 20% tariff while threatening up to a 50% tariff if he's put into office(+a confirmed 60% tariff on goods from china). Potentially industry crippiling numbers. Or not. The argument could definitely be made that this would bring manufacturing back to the US. But either way, it will take time and things will inevitably be more expensive.
