Converting older Look Pivots for GW boots

I just snagged some new boots. They’re my first pair of GW boots since that whole thing became a thing. Got a couple pair of skis that have 2017 or 2018 Pivot 14s on them (not the WTR model) that I don’t really feel like having to buy new bindings for.

I know the only difference in the GW versions are the AFDs. Does anyone know if they make replacement AFDs that will convert these to GW? I’ve found a shop that has some online but the description notes they’ll convert your WTR pivots to GW. Will these work for non WTR models? Are they the same?

Additionally, if anyone has some laying around that may work for me, PM I’ll buy. Or even just Pivot GW toe pieces you’re not using anymore.

12 and 14 pivots are not convertible, only the 18s. I tried doing the same, but the bottom plastic bracket has different shape/size and is incompatible between newer and older versions

I have a set just lmk. Don’t waste your money on a set of toe pieces, that’s terrible advice lol That’s what replacement parts are for.

Yeah I found these on Slope Style already but the description clarifies "WTR to GW" and my Pivots are 2017 or 2018 models pre-WTR. The front of the baseplate seems to look different than mine so I am concerned they will not work. Any insight?

FYI these only work on CAST converted pivot toes.

This man's trying to delete peoples ACLs. You can't just swap the AFDs, the wings on the toepiece are a different volume. You need new toepieces unfortunately.

Correction* you don't need new toes if you have the WTR Dual AFDs, which is what were used in 2017 and 2018. The alpine setting works with GW. If you try to use GW AFDs on the WTR Dual toes, it dosen't work at all

I tried using this exact spare part, ordered exactly from slopestyle. It does NOT fit older p12 and p14

These are 2016s basically the older toe version. Tbh I don't know if there is a GW AFD for those, they're almost a decade old

yea unfortunately the gripwalk plates available like the ones from slopestyle won’t fit onto these older style toes. alpine soles might be your best bet

Thanks for all the info yall. I ended up reaching out to Look directly to see if they had any GW AFDs for my model year. As some of yall suspected, they do not make conversions for these. Only WTR to GW. Look's customer support ended up sending me new GW toe pieces unprompted! Incredible customer service/support out of them. Awesome to see that shit still exists in the industry!
