SKI EVENTS/COMPETITIONS

Ok so I've been trying to find ski events where I could compete at but obviously not a super high level. Almost as a event not that I would win but that would create more competitiveness in skiing.
Anyways when I look up ski events there so random over so many different websites and most of them are Cross-country skiing or racing events that it's so hard to find a event that is freestyle skiing and if I do even then 90% of the time it's big huge competitions
Is there something I'm missing or an easier way to find ski competitions/events?

it depends on your situation. if you don’t have much of a travel budget, i’d start by searching for event schedules for the mountains near you. look for rail jams, slope style events, free ride, whatever. larger/more popular mountains will have more events.

from there, just add those events to some master calendar and plan out your winter. i imagine having a travel budget is similar, and you just plan around the events you want to do the most.

the key is to get hurt your 1st/2nd event so you have an alibi the rest of the season.

You will probably want to register for USASA for what you have described, search local mountain event schedules , look at winter festivals around town many have rail jams.

Like others have said, look on the websites for fields close to you. Most of them have an events section. Although, an event calendar could be a good feature to add to the NS website. It's weird that there isn't one for a site dedicated to freeskiing.

And my local hill just has one event out of the whole year and it's a rail jam which i don't do rails...

they’ll let anyone in these. even me lol. good luck signing up though. fills up in 0.0027 seconds at the more popular stops. get fucked if your trying to join in CO. when i was in vermont it was much easier to join

only 1* comps are open reg. they fill up quick (like 30 seconds quick)

all others are ranking first, and if they don’t fill up they allow open registration. but that hardly ever happens in my experience.
