I don’t really know how to pick out skis that well. I want a park ski I am 5’6 140 pounds. I just started taking the park more seriously last year I learn to 360 and hit a rail. I had the line blends last year and I liked them they just were a little heavy. Any suggestions?
Ik blends are pretty floppy and soft so if you want that but a little lighter I’d say Vishnu Wets. Ik it’s the default answer for a lot of people but for your case it sounds right.
I know that bent 90's are one of the lightest out rn at 1600g a ski in the 175 but honestly wouldn't recommend them. Surface Royale is a little heavier at 1690 for the 172 but way more core. Unless you are doing some crazy swaps wouldn't worry too much about weight. If you get used to tossing around a heavier ski once you get on something lighter you'll be unstoppable.
If you’re young and still progressing and growing it’s best to get something cheap for the park ski and spend more on a nicer set of bindings that will last you multiple sets of skis. You can find a variety of 80 something underfoot light park skis around $250 from the big name brands. The reason to cheap out on skis is two fold, you might outgrow them or learn what you actually want out of a park ski while riding them, and the other benefit being that not spending a lot on them will make you feel okay with bashing them and using them as a park ski should be, which is in the end disposable.
172 Surfaces royales/snipers on sale rn. Also liberty helix 88s from 2023 are like $300. I’d look online for some used skis, maybe some armadas/k2s..seem to be a lot more of them on Facebook cause they’re pretty mainstream. That way you can figure out what you like without dropping 600 on a setup. Also at your height and weight probably be looking in the 170cmish range
