Watching the poorboys revolver trailers when I was 11 completely changed my view of what skiing could be in 4 minutes. You just can't handle the teasing
you're lowkey right. Some trailers give too much away and sometimes reveal what the best clips in the video are going to be. It's cool what zootspace did and now jetskis where there's no trailer and the video drops by surprise. That being said, if you're lesser known it makes a lot more sense to drop something to let people know. And there's a lot of videos dropping these days you can get more people to watch yours if your trailer actually stands out

Agreed on this one. I think since we all have the attention span of a fruit fly nowadays less is more. I really like what ON3P did having a 45sec trailer is all we really need.
Most trailers kinda feel like the same shit every year and unless it's groundbreaking/NBD it doesn't feel entertaining really
I would perfer instead of a trailer, if people would make one short form video with the best clips of the full video. No shot I'm watching a 30 minute ski "movie" in 2024. Magma 1-3 and Vishnu's stuff both are perfect in length, while (Child) Labors full videos run long. I like all the skiing but I go back and watch Based City much more than Take 3 or Why Not both of which received more effort than Based City.

maybe you should hop of reels and improve your attention span. I’m not watching 30 minutes of people I don’t care about either but I do if I fw them, I wish cl videos were longer tbh

Yeah the release dates and trailers for trailers is just unnecessary. Like just drop that shit I'm not gonna get hyped for it beforehand.
I agree with this in the way that some groups do 3 minute trailers for a 10 minute edit, like someone kinda said before. But if its a 50 minute project and they release a little teaser I love that! It gives a little taste of whats to come
I feel like dudes are getting edits and actual movies mixed up. If you're releasing an actual movie (longer than ~30 min, has multiple segments from different skiers, ect), then trailers are cool. If its just an edit though, it doesn't need a trailer.
This is a smooth brained, I only consume content on a phone screen, take. You're not the audience then. It hypes people that want to go out to an event. Imagine being so unexcited about the upcoming season.
I don't mind trailers. The only thing I find weird is the cutting to the next shot before the trick lands. Like bro, you've shown me the trick and they be like "Holy shit is he gonna land it??". Like yeah, of course he is, it's not going to be a movie of everyone just stacking it on every trick (although that would be a cool movie concept). It would be more enticing to cut just after the take off so I'm like "What insane trick is he gonna do, I wanna watch that".
