Narrow LV feet/zipfit

Hoping someone can help a bit here maybe. I usually ski a hawx ultra 130 with the zipfit gara LV zipfit liner. I also had success in a S max130, although a few pressure points I would get in that boot. I am looking for a new boot now that my shells have cracked and split in spots. My main concern with getting a new pair of hawx ultras is the last on my hawx I believe a 2021 model is 94mm and the new are 98mm?? With the difference in the last on the new models how is this fit going to be in comparison. I ski a 24.5 so my options of trying boots in a shop are very limited as many seem to only offer 25 and up. I also have came across a s max at a good price but the downsides being its a 120 flex not a 130 and my old s max did give me pressure points but was certainly snug how I like. I get seeing a bootfitter and all that would be great but I am on a low budget and being size 24.5 makes it hard to try boots on at shops as well. Any bit of help would be sweet!

Ultra should be 94mm in 24.5.

I share the pain of having small feet. I mostly have to buy boots from the internet and it's still hard to find mens boots in 24.5

Quoted last widths (98mm, 100mm, 102mm, etc.) apply to the development size of the boot concept, which in Atomic's case is size 26/26.5.

Every type of footwear scales last width, heel width, instep height, etc. per size. Smaller sizes get narrower, lower volume, etc. and larger sizes get wider, higher volume, etc. This is done to preserve the type of fit (narrow, medium, or wide) on every size.

In a size 24, the Hawx Ultra is 94mm wide, which is marked on the bottom of the boot.

i have size 41 in shoe size and i rode 26.5 boots last season... tested my old 25.5 full tilts and they fit a little better lol

I'm also a 24.5 with really narrow foot/ankle... I rock a redster sti with a zipfit. Really the only setup that I've found to work for me...

fabbei have size 41 in shoe size and i rode 26.5 boots last season... tested my old 25.5 full tilts and they fit a little better lol


My shoes are usually 1 size too big so I can fit wool sock in to them. My touring boots are 25.5 but they feel lil too big.

Do you like the zipfits? I have wide-ish flat feet with skinny ankles and calves. My hawx ultras don't have as much heel hold as I would like and cuff could be tighter.

Yeah it’s our first lv boot. It’s going to be a pretty revolutionary boot I think. Think performance of a race boot but in a package which is actually good for every day skiing!

There are going to be quite a few new boots coming from various brands in January 25 so if we can make your current boots work a little longer it will be well worth waiting.

Yeah I really like them. I don't know if they will solve your problems... But for me... when I start to pack out a stock liner, my boots get too roomy and I get terrible tendon pain from my feet moving around. The zipfits are pretty much consistent in the volume they take up over time, and when they get packed out you can add more cork.

Fwiw I also went down a shell size when I got the zipfits...

Yo. Bootfitter of 20 years with size 24 feet here that measure at 25.3~. Wide forefoot and narrow ankle

I ski Zipfit GFT in all my boots. Keep your Gara and put it in your new shell.

The Ultra has the best ankle hold of any boots discussed here. I would say they have better ankle hold than a Lange Wolrd Cup ZB, based off of me owning both. And your forefoot won’t be crushed.


The new ultra feels significantly wider and longer in the forefoot but just as tight in the ankle. As mentioned above, it is actually 94mm wide in your size.

It is also the narrowest at the bottom of the leg and has a very narrow cuff.
