Replying to What do you think the best affordable handheld cam would be for slow mo powder shots?

I'm looking for a camera that I could use in the backcountry for filming pow clips. Ideally, it would be water resistant, given that it might be snowing while filming. I am a broke student, so I can only make a modest investment. I am opposed to GoPro/Instagram360, i.e. action cameras because my intention is less about maximizing the field of view and more about documenting from perspective. Preferably something I can use with a gloved hand and tuck back into my jacket

Ive looked into the Panasonic handy cams and was curious are they waterproof?
