I've gotta question the choice of ender (both trick and song). How many hundreds of times have we all seen a big 7 off a booter into powder? Why choose that as the ender over all of the banger clips that came before it?
Also that Future song at the end has zero flow and doesn't fit with the skiing at all. It's like every line in it is a separate sentence, with nothing to bind it together.
Idk guys, i think this one might be a little overhyped, especially for a big production like Level 1. If this is the direction that Owen's going, I'm a little worried for the new Magma film

Some really good street skiing especially by the ladies but the song choices could not have been any more basic IMO.

Nah basic would have been some Cocteau twins or Deftones or whatever other edgy/sad music street ski crews that secretly wanna be snowboarders put in their street parts. IMO it is way more ballsy to use a Rolling Stones and a Future track when the standard in street ski films is to choose music that is eclectic and obscure as possible. If you wanna be a real edgy dark horse in 2024 you gotta be editing your shit to the most mainstream tracks possible.

tl;dr the 2025 jet video will have multiple Bruno mars tracks

I always advocate for people to not be afraid to put popular music in their vids because a lot of times it does work, this isn't one of those cases tho, Cinderella is a really weak choice, especially with how much actually good music Future and Travis Scott have released over the years

Awesome video 8/10 cause it was annoying having to skip thru all the pow stuff.

Also check by thugger cmon try to use a song that hasn’t been bumped by everyone for years lmao atleast maybe an unreleased thugger song instead

Loved the editing in this, the way the parts all were blended into each other. Chris Logan and Jonah williams had some wild pow skiing and massive lines. Anni and Taylor with one of the best womens street segments of all time. The Oski and Harold part honestly might be the weakest one to me. I feel like I just haven't found those guys' skiing to be very interesting lately. And goddamn, Mango with the part of the year so far for sure that was fucked.

Felt the soundtrack fit well with the skiing and editing styles. Definitely preferred to the indie snowboard-emo trend all over everything lately

Fun ass movie to watch! Parker went off. Mango is goated. Harold and oski are some of the most solid street riders of the generation and Dak’s skiing is fun as hell to watch. The girls went hard and the pow skiing was cool, cLo & wachstafari go big and also hold down the new wave, Jonah is a savage…. Prolly 30 sumn clips??? Reason to celebrate. Rodeo 7 will never go outa style. Well done all around. Movie was chopped well, only negative feedback is coulda used some deeper tracks than check and Cinderella. Well done to the whole crew, cool as hell front to back

I think we are pretty much all in agreement that the thugger and future songs were basic choices. But I think it’s crazy to let that ruin this video for you. L1P has to appeal to a broader audience, this isn’t a super underground street video, and I thought the rest of the soundtrack was great. Did not expect mango to do a Seth Morrison style backflip, he surprises in every video. The mix of skiers was so good, great balance of crazy bc stuff and street riding, with different styles showcased in each discipline, and a bunch of skiers crossing over into both.

If you are really just interested in street content though, I can see how this movie isn’t for you. Overall, the creativity, spot selection, and density of clips with minimal b roll, is way better in a movie like stand corrected. But for me when I am getting ready to go ski in the morning and I throw a vid on to get stoked, I will probably be playing a video with a more hype soundtrack and varieties of skiing like this one, and not a street vid with a mellow soundtrack where I feel like I have to analyze every second. I think both are great but appeal to different audiences and viewing styles.

I’d rate this video a 8/10

I liked the pacing of the video. the broll was intelligently used, quicker cuts, didn't feel like there was a lot of filler.
The different styles in the video complemented each other very nicely. Lots of spot variety, minimal spot repetition (at least I don't recall any.)

Thought some of the songs were genuinely mid, like not bad by any means but not memorable. Also getting tired of film broll, its been pretty common for a while snow, and doesnt necessarily do a lot for me. and do we really need another clip of every skier standing in front of a wall lol.

overall I really enjoyed it. Can't even say which seg was my favourite since they were all so good in different ways, which is how you know it's a good video.

i mean he’s dropped bigger spots but all of his clips were valid as fuck. hit a close out prolly cleaner than most users here could hit a handrail
