Line now selling snowboards…

I saw the line team riding these at copper this summer and they said its a standalone board, not rip of something else. I don't think its a sign of bad times I just think k2 is finding new ways to get skiers to waste their money, I'm sure we'll see a board company trying to rip off vishnus in a couple years trying to do the same thing. It does seem strange though since this hasnt gone to well for other ski brands in the past (head, rossi)

I saw the followup post they made to this and someone said that a lot of the team riders snowboard as well so Line thought it would be cool to make their own snowboard

Makes sense for a company obsessed with Pizza. These Line ski people are scared of monoskiing. Why not commit to no pizza like a rocket propelled hot dog? SMH These people would rather wear soft boots and slide down the hill sideways

the board seems nice, just not the graphic. looks soft and easy to ride

k2 snowboards are quite nice, also Ride snowboards are owned by k2, which makes Ride and Line sister brands.

Might have to switch to snowboarding after This one

I see both sides of this but I doubt they sell all too many....but I'm guessing they aren't expecting to.


As a skier who snowboards too I probably wouldn't get one just because I already own multiple boards, and there are so many other core/tried and true brands/shapes out there already.....but it would be cool to support a ski brand I suppose.

I don't know of any snowboarders who would consider it tbh. Most are going to be against it with it looking like skiers trying to take over more of the market.


So it seems like a small market of loyal skiers that also snowboard who want to support a ski company over a snowboard company. Just seems super tiny market but whatever.


That or they are praying their insta/tiktoks influencer sponsors can sell them to kids that don't care about coreness or supporting boardings roots etc. which I think is the most likely and lamest scenario.
